Poem

Fire walker

She walks with flames as soles

She walks like she’s upright,

Because the universe is a heavy load

That pricks and weighs like a

Tin of baked beans

And a bottle of cider.

She walks with flames as soles

In shoes that talk in tongues

And bless the ground like

A hot poker and a prayer.

She walks with flames as soles

And it paves the streets like

Candy floss and lemonade.

She walks with flames as soles

Smouldering as an LED,

Crying, florescent and wild.

She walks with flames of soles

Lighting the street with lava steps,

A volcano that explodes.

She walks with flames of soles.

She walks with flames of soles.

She walks with flames of soles.

For all the earth is full of holes.
