Essentially we are voyeurs. Well at least the spectator often is, as (s)he peers through the artist’s lens at the nakedness of the flower in all its sexual glory. The spectator is only witnessing images of the original -digital images of the aesthetically delicate ‘flesh’ and aura and organs of the flower. The spectator becomes both observer of an observer and appreciator of the form immersed in its original energy and yet removed through digital processing. Delicate veils act as a referent to petals … as we pull the petals back into a poem.
We manipulate nature all the time. We desire to be the bee.
